Neil Lennon says it is NOT impossible for Rangers to catch Celtic in the title race as he outlined the 'huge task' that could prove key.
Ange Postecoglou's champions are sitting nine points ahead of the Light Blues in the Premiership standings ahead of the return to domestic action. Michael Beale kicks off his competitive era at Ibrox by welcoming Hibs to Govan tomorrow night with the Hoops getting back underway 48 hours with a trip to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen.
Celtic have won 14 and lost just one of their 15 games to date with former boss Lennon admitting Rangers have no margin for error in the final 23 games. The rivals lock horns a further three times this season, with the next meeting just weeks away on January 2. But despite the trio of derbies and lots of football still to come, Lennon believes his old side won't slip up and will make it back to back titles come the end of the campaign.

He said: “Michael will feel that it is not insurmountable and there are other examples — even apart from our one.
“Down south Kevin Keegan and Alex Ferguson both blew bigger leads than Celtic have to be pipped at the finish line.
“You can draw on your own experience as well as other people’s when it comes to gaps like that being overturned and try to use that. The problem Michael has is that Celtic don’t look as though they’re going to lose too many matches and Rangers have been dropping points to Hibs, Livingston, St Johnstone and St Mirren.
“Rangers have left themselves with no room for error because, domestically, Celtic have been imperious.
“However, I can’t see Celtic slipping up, not the way Ange drives them.
“Even if they have injuries and suspensions they have good depth in their squad and should be able to cope if they’re missing a few players.
“I won’t say it’s impossible for Rangers to overtake them but winning those three remaining derbies is a huge task.”
