Celtic hero and former manager Neil Lennon will be managing in the Europa League this season after a stunning victory over Belgian side Gent with Omonia Nicosia.
The First Division side were favourites in the tie against a side who qualified for Europe by lifting the Cypriot Cup with Lennon only months into his job. His latest triumph will see him bank the club based in Cyprus millions after winning both legs of this tie.
A scene for victory was set away from home last week Charalambos Charalambous and former Rangers winger Brandon Barker both netted in a sensational 2-0 away victory. They followed that up with a replica scoreline back in their homeland, Charalambous once again netting the opener in the first half and it was two before half-time when Andronikos Kakoullis netted for Lennon's men. They enter a competition where the likes of Manchester United will compete this term.
