Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen announced on Tuesday that there are no current plans to convene a special session to alter the state's method of allocating electoral votes, effectively putting an end to a campaign spearheaded by former President Donald Trump.
This decision follows Republican state Senator Mike McDonnell's declaration that he would not endorse a final attempt to reverse the law that distributes electoral votes based on congressional districts.
In a statement, Governor Pillen, a member of the Republican party, expressed his disappointment, stating, 'Given everything at stake for Nebraska and our country, we have left every inch on the field to get this done.'
