NBA star Anthony Edwards' incredible post-game routine after impressive performance

Anthony Edwards is in red-hot form for the Minnesota Timberwolves as expected, and his unique post-game routine may be playing a part.

The 2020 number one draft pick has already started the season as he means to go on, breaking the 30-point mark in three of his five games. The 21-year-old's best game came in the recent clash against San Antonio Spurs, where he scored 34 points in a 132-122 victory.

But after the game his post-match routine was caught on film, and it's relentless to say the least. Despite playing for 38 minutes, Edwards 'warmed down' by shooting 100 three-pointers, and then proceeded to run up down stairs in the arena with Taurean Prince.

The greatest athletes always put in the extra work, whether it's Cristiano Ronaldo training non-stop to get to the very top, or Kobe Bryant sticking by a strict regime to stay at his best. Edwards will want to earn his place in sporting royalty, and at just 21, he's certainly tipped to be one of the best players in the NBA in years to come.

And fans have embraced his post-game routine, showing off his hard work and dedication to the sport. The Timberwolves are 3-2 so far this season, and Edwards has been a driving force in their success.

Edwards is keen to be an all-star in the NBA, and has previously discussed his intentions for the future. In an interview with Complex, Edwards said: "Just from being a kid. I’ve always felt like I’m the best at everything I did.

"My brothers made me feel like that. Going against them made me feel like I was best person in the world. That’s my confidence. I get it from my brothers."

Edwards even stated that one day he wants to be the 'face of the NBA' as legendary figures LeBron James and Kevin Durant are both getting towards retirement age. "Oh yeah, 100 percent," when asked if he can replace the biggest stars. "Sure. I mean it comes with time and it comes with work and dedication.

"I feel like I got all three of those things and I feel like it’s going to take me over the top." However, that's in the future, and for now Edwards is keen to mount a play-off push this season.

"I want my averages to go up. I want to win a lot of games and go deep into the playoffs." And Edwards is still grieving the series loss to the Memphis Grizzlies last season.

"Man, I feel like we handed it to them man. It was like taking candy from a baby and they took the candy. We had every game won man and I don’t know what happened. I don’t know what happened."
