National Prosecco Day 2022: Best Deals From Morrisons, M&S and Aldi

With the weekend temperatures set to still soar into the high 30s in some parts of the country, we can think of nothing better than a chilled glass of fizz.

And, heatwave aside, sparkling wine fans have an even further excuse to pop the cork this weekend as tomorrow officially marks National Prosecco Day.

Arriving perfectly in time for the weekend celebrations, August 13th was chosen as the official date to celebrate the popular bottle of bubbly as it is a known fact it is best enjoyed in the sun.

Well, it's a good thing we are still having some good weather, as we will just have to take advantage of what we consider to be a national holiday. Not that we needed any excuse, as we are all partial to a chilled glass of fizz to celebrate the good times...or, anytime really.

In even better news, some major retailers across the country are offering some epic deals for you to pick up your favourite bottle of bubbly for less.

M&S, Morrisons and Aldi are all offering some sparkling deals that will help you celebrate this weekend without breaking the bank. We have rounded up the bubbling offers that are currently on offer for you to make some space in your fridge for.

M&S

M&S has slashed a third off their prosecco prices in store and online (M&S)

M&S are letting shoppers enjoy the heatwave by slashing a third off the price of their prosecco and rose prosecco - along with a few other award-winning bottles of wine.

The deal will include the fresh and floral Conte Priuli Prosecco which has been reduced to just £8 down from the original £12. The wine is described as having "notes of ripe peach and honeysuckle."

Shoppers can also grab the Conte Priuli Prosecco Rosé that has also been reduced to £8 from £12. The bubbly is described as "A delicate pink prosecco with flavours of red berries and floral aromas."

The high-street retail giant has also reduced the prices across a range of white and red wine, if you'd prefer something less sparkling, which you can view here.

M&S' prosecco deal will be available both in-store and online until Monday, September 12.

Morrisons

Morrisons has a range of price cuts and offers by up to 25% on a range of prosecco bottles that can help you stock up for the weekend.

Available both online and in stores now, shoppers can save on bestsellers such as The Best Prosecco DOC. With notes of lemon and an almond finish, shoppers can enjoy its unique flavour for just £8.75.

Shoppers can also enjoy the award-winning The Best Prosecco Rose DOC for the same price. The fizz is described as "a delicate sparkling wine with stone and redcurrant flavours, combined with strawberry aromas."

Morrisons shoppers who purchase three bottles from The Best range will save 25% off the overall cost, making it the perfect offer for stocking up for any weekend parties.

Shoppers can also save £2 on the dry and fresh La Gioiosa Prosecco Brut, which has been dropped to just £8 down from its original £10.

The popular refreshing and fruity Freixenet Prosecco D. O. C. 75cl has also had £3 slashed of its original price, as it is now priced at "9, instead of £12.

Morrisons prosecco offers are currently available online and in stores now.

Aldi

The budget supermarket is staying true to its reputation by offering shoppers a range of bubbly for less this weekend - with some selling for just £6.25.

Their offers include the bestselling Prosecco Superiore DOCG. Priced at just £7.99, this quality Italian sparkler is favoured for its light, creamy flavour and delicate floral touches, making it refreshing with aesthetically pleasing bubbles.

There is also the eco-friendly Castellore Organic Prosecco for just £7.99, which boasts a medium-bodied flavour.
