National League attendance record set to be smashed following latest Notts County update

Only 800 home tickets remain for Notts County's National League fixture with Yeovil Town this weekend, with the club suggesting the allocation could sell out as early as Tuesday.

The uptake in ticket sales for the Magpies' 'Football for a Fiver' fixture is expected to smash the current record in English football's fifth tier, a record Notts currently hold.

With Luke Williams' side returning to the summit of the standings following their 2-0 win over Eastleigh, demand has skyrocketed, with the club opening up additional sections of the Jimmy Sirrel Stand to accommodate those visiting Meadow Lane.

Taking into account segregation, away club allocation and other required safety measures, all available home seating has now been released for general sale.

From 6pm this evening, this amounted to around 800 seats. These are available to purchase online, with the club's ticket office to reopen at 9am on Tuesday.

The Magpies chief executive Jason Turner said: "Following Saturday's win at Eastleigh, which saw us return to the top of the National League, sales have been phenomenal.

"After a huge volume of online sales over the weekend, we have sold more than 1200 tickets today which leads us to believe the match might sell out on Tuesday.

"It's absolutely fantastic that, even with five days to go, we can confirm we're going to smash the National League attendance record, which we set ourselves when a crowd of 12,843 saw us beat Solihull last season.

"Our message to those who have yet to get their ticket is to act straightaway to avoid potential disappointment."

If you are still yet to purchase a ticket for this weekend, here are the details to secure your seat on what should be a memorable day down at Meadow Lane.

Availability update (6.15pm Monday)

  • Jimmy Sirrel Stand: Home supporters are able to book any seat apart from those in block Z2, which is exclusively open to away supporters
  • Kop Stand: Group bookings are available on the second row, with individual seats available elsewhere
  • Derek Pavis Stand: Only individual seats remain
  • Family Stand: Only individual seats remain
