Nathan Broadhead has been offered a new contract at Everton according to the latest reports. The Athletic claims a move away from Goodison Park is unlikely this summer with the Toffees offering the forward a new deal.
Sunderland have been linked with a move for the Welshman after a stellar loan spell on Wearside last season, netting 13 goals in last years campaign. Broadhead penned a two-year deal in 2021 and is approaching the final year of his contract.
Alex Neil's side are still keen to bolster their front line after the arrival of Ellis Simms last week. The Black Cats have also been in talks with Frank Lampard's side over another move for Broadhead but the latest reports suggest a loan move would be most likely.

Everton wanted to take a look at the 24-year-old this summer after impressing at the Stadium of Light last year. However, Broadhead has not featured much in pre-season despite those reports earlier in the summer.
The Sunderland head coach has already brought Jack Clarke back to the club after he played a major part in helping the club win promotion to the Championship. Red and white supporters had hoped that Broadhead would follow suit but as of yet, no decision has been made.
It's not uncommon for players to sign new terms with their clubs before heading out on loan, as Elliot Embleton and Jack Diamond have done in previous years.
