Nate Diaz calls out Logan Paul for suggesting brother Jake fights UFC star

Nate Diaz has called out Logan Paul after the YouTube star said he wanted his brother Jake to fight first Diaz and then Conor McGregor.

Jake has amassed a professional boxing record of 5-0 with three of his victories coming against former UFC stars Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.

He has repeatedly called out Diaz and McGregor who are both nearing the end of their respective UFC contracts.

And Paul told the MMA Hour this week : "I'd love to see him [Jake] fight Nate Diaz and eventually Conor McGregor. I think that would be such a cool fight."

Nate Diaz lost his last fight to Leon Edwards (Zuffa LLC)

Diaz, who wants to see out his UFC deal by fighting Dustin Poirier, responded on Twitter by saying: "Logan, how about I beat your ass instead for doing that to your brother."

Jake is currently taking a break from the ring to promote stablemate Amanda Serrano's undisputed clash with Katie Taylor in New York on April 30.

He is expected to return in the autumn but has yet to confirm an opponent. Former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr is among the contenders, as is Tommy Fury who pulled out of his scheduled fight with Jake last December.

He hopes to return to the ring on his brother Tyson's undercard when he defends his heavyweight world title against Dillian Whyte on April 23.

Jake has made no secret of his desire to fight Diaz and McGregor, two of the UFC's highest-profile athletes.

"I think people will immediately write me off but they're going to tune into watch," Paul told ESPN.

"It's two massive names and it's a massive pay-per-view. When people see me obliterate him, their jaws are going to drop, they're not going to know how to react and they're going to think it's rigged again.

"At that moment in time, I'll be undeniable to fight Conor McGregor because I beat the guy who beat him.

"The Jake Paul vs Conor fight is a massive fight so I'm like why wait? I don't need to be in this sport forever, I don't need 100 fights so why wait, let's do it right away."
