NASCAR drivers are gearing up for the All Star race at the iconic North Wilkesboro Speedway, following the cancellation of last night's All Star Craftsman Truck Series race due to heavy rains and flooding. The track faced unprecedented challenges as a result of the stormy weather.
During the truck race, lightning struck, prompting a halt in the proceedings. The drizzle quickly escalated into a torrential downpour, dumping four inches of rain in just two hours. Turn one of the track was completely flooded, necessitating the relocation of the trucks parked in that area. Team members had to push the vehicles uphill multiple times to avoid water damage.
