In-form Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has responded to speculation of interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United.
The 23-year-old has found the net 15 times this season, which includes four in his last two Serie A matches. His goals have helped Napoli mount a title challenge as they look to lift the league trophy for the first time since 1990.
Osimhen’s successful campaign has not gone unnoticed by United who, along with Arsenal, Newcastle and Tottenham, are said to be monitoring the situation in Italy. Taking to his Instagram account on Monday, the attacker posted a message in relation to the transfer ‘noise’ surrounding him.

He said: “I focus on my passion, the rest are just background noise.” While Osimhen has attracted attention from English clubs, it is noted that he has failed to score against Serie A’s top six teams this season - AC Milan, Juventus, Inter Milan, Atalanta and Roma.
Osimhen also didn’t manage to get on the scoresheet in either leg of Napoli’s aggregate loss to Barcelona in the Europa League last 16. That said, the Nigeria international did net a brace in his club’s 2-2 draw with Leicester at the King Power Stadium in the group stages in September.
And after coming back from a cheekbone injury that sidelined him for eight league matches, Osimhen has scored six times in nine Serie A outings, and notched an assist in a 1-1 draw with Inter.
