Two new stations to be opened in Birmingham suburbs need names.
West Midlands Combined Authority is inviting people to choose their preferences from shortlists for the stations to be built in Hazelwell and Moseley.
The pair are being constructed on the Camp Hill line south of the city centre along with a third in Kings Heath which will be called Kings Heath station.
Construction work is due to start later this year with VolkerFitzpatrick, the company currently revamping University of Birmingham station, appointed as main contractor last month.
Transport for West Midlands is now asking residents living near the two stations to pick their preference from shortlists.
There is a three-way choice between Hazelwell, Stirchley and Pineapple Road for one station while those further north along the track can pick between Moseley and Moseley Village for that station.
The new stations are being built to enable regular passenger services to return to the Camp Hill line for the first time in 80 years.
The line is currently used mainly for freight and also some through passenger services into New Street station.
West Midlands Mayor Andy Street said: "We recently announced that, after much anticipation, there is real progress in the return of passenger services to the Camp Hill line with the appointment of a contractor to get the stations built.
"Now we need locals to help us name their new stations. Residents have been waiting decades for their local stations to return and so it is only right they have a say in what they will be called."
The combined authority is providing £36 million towards the cost, with £20 million from the Department for Transport and the remaining £5 million from Birmingham City Council's Clean Air Zone fund.
The deadline for submitting a preference is May 25 after which Mr Street will assess the responses and pick the names, to be announced in June.
