Florida police recently arrested a 25-year-old naked man who allegedly tried to set fire to a Planet Fitness location in the Venice/Sarasota area before running wild through the building and crawling into the ceiling. Officers ultimately found him hiding inside a tanning bed.
According to Florida news outlet 12 News, the incident occurred around midnight on July 19, 2025. Planet Fitness employees reported Henrry Antunez-Avarado’s behavior to police after asking him to leave because the gym was closing. At that point, employees said Antunez-Avarado took off all his clothes and started running around the gym, attempting to start a fire in the bathroom, and crawling into the ceiling, causing some ceiling panels to fall off.
