NAGPUR: A key member of one of the most reputed business groups in the city was trapped by a sextortion racket forcing him to cough up around Rs 1.50 lakh in three instalments but later had sent his video viral on social media groups. The racketeers learnt to have used a young female to lure the businessman before starting to threaten him demanding hefty amounts.
The matter came to the fore after the MIDC Bori police station registered an offence against a woman with a Maharashtrian identity with the name ‘Kavita Waghmare’ for her role behind duping the businessman, demanding money and also misusing the social media platform to defame him by making the video viral.
