Zoe Brooks delivered a stellar performance, scoring a career-high 33 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for N.C. State. Aziaha James also made a significant impact with 20 points, including a spectacular transition layup that ignited the crowd at Reynolds Coliseum.
The game featured 21 lead changes, with both teams battling fiercely until the final buzzer. Hannah Hidalgo led Notre Dame with 26 points, while Sonia Citron contributed 23 points, including a clutch 3-pointer to force overtime.






Notre Dame, who recently claimed the No. 1 spot in the AP Top 25 rankings, suffered only their third loss of the season, missing the opportunity to clinch the ACC regular-season title outright.
On the other hand, N.C. State showcased their resilience and determination, bouncing back from a recent loss to secure a crucial victory. The Wolfpack had five players scoring in double figures, shooting 45.6% from the field and converting 24 of 26 free throws.
The key moment of the game came in the second overtime period when N.C. State went on a decisive 10-0 run, with Tilda Trygger and Zoe Brooks leading the charge. Trygger, a 6-foot-6 freshman, delivered a standout performance, matching her season-high with 19 points.
Looking ahead, both teams will return to action on Thursday, with Notre Dame hosting Florida State and N.C. State playing their home finale against Wake Forest.
