A mystery of five people missing in the UK after a road trip has finally been solved after police discovered three dead and two with serious injuries.
It’s understood that all five travelled to Cardiff together, in a Volkswagen Tiguan, for a night out but were all reported missing some time later.
An update issued this morning confirmed that police conducting a widespread search say they have located three of them dead - but the exact circumstances of their deaths has not been confirmed.

The other two people who were reported missing have since been transported to the hospital with serious injuries, Gwent Police told the PA news agency.
All five of them - three women and two men - had been last seen in Cardiff in the early hours of Saturday, March 4.
Police confirmed: “The women, Sophie Russon, 20, Eve Smith, 21, and Darcy Ross, 21, were last seen in Cardiff in the early hours of Saturday having travelled there from Porthcawl.
“They had made the trip in a Volkswagen Tiguan with two men, Rafel Jeanne, 24, and Shane Loughlin, 32, both from Cardiff, who were also reported as missing”.
On Monday, a police spokesperson said the VW Tiguan had been recovered just after midnight in the St Mellons area of Cardiff.
Police believe the car was involved in a collision and came off the road at high speed.
Specialist officers are supporting the families of those involved and investigations are ongoing.
