Shakhtar Donetsk will call London their home in the Champions League this season and club captain Mykola Matviyenko has written an open letter to football fans in the capital ahead of their arrival.

Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge will host Shakhtar’s “home” games in the competition, as the Ukrainian champions take on Greek side AEK Athens, Portuguese powerhouses Sporting, Turkish giants Fenerbahce and European royalty in Real Madrid.
