Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk, football.london understands. The Gunners have been in talks with the Ukrainian side for the winger who has made it clear via social media activity that he is keen to come to north London.
Shakhtar have consistently claimed that they would want a fee worth in the region of £88million for the 22-year-old, citing expensive deals for Antony and Jack Grealish in recent seasons as reason for this. Arsenal had been unwilling to rise that high and have had two bids turned down for Mudryk.
However, it is now understood that the move is edging closer to completion with talks now focusing on the structuring of the deal. Potential add ons could be decisive, but it is thought that negotiations are heading in the right direction.

The move has been a protracted one after Chelsea also showed interest in signing Mudryk. However, the Blues have since moved to bring in one-time Gunners target Joao Felix on loan, and Mudryk has made it clear that he wants to join Arsenal.
It has been suggested that the fee for the Ukrainian could be in the region of £75-80million which would take him above Nicolas Pepe as Arsenal's record signing.
