An animal rescue charity is raffling off a gorgeous three-bedroom townhouse in north Dublin to raise funds to help rescue and rehabilitate animals.
My Lovely Horse Rescue helps rescue, rehabilitate and re-home unwanted, neglected and abused animals such as horses, pigs, goats, cats, and dogs.
The charity was set up in 2011 when co-founders Cathy Davey, Martina Kenny and her sister Deborah rescued two horses in Dublin.
The trio had no intentions of starting an animal rescue at the time but were simply animals lovers trying to rescue two horses that needed saving.
Since the charity's launch they have helped catered to thousands of horses and looked after roughly 550 animals at any time.
Martina Kenny told Dublin Live a generous, anonymous benefactor is allowing the charity to hold a raffle for someone to win a fully furnished, three-bedroom townhouse located in Royal Canal Park in North Dublin.
The fully-furnished house is worth over €400,000 with tickets only costing €23 each.
My Lovely Horse Rescue have capped the raffle at 40,000 tickets in the hope that the charity will get €200,000 if they sell all their tickets.
Martina said: "We're looking to get the word out and to sell all our tickets for the raffle in July. It's a three-bedroom town house in Royal Canal Park in Dublin 15, it's a great prize.
"It would be huge for us to get the €200,000, it would let us build stables and take in more animals in."
The raffle will take place on July 28 with the winner free to do whatever they wish with the property that rents out for €2,000 per month.
Tickets can be bought here or through their website.
