A mum has paid tribute to her "beautiful" son who died ten weeks after being taken home from the hospital.
Jodie Murphy's son, Kayden was born in 2021 and said she knew something was wrong from the moment he was born as Kayden was unable to eat or keep anything down.
Kayden spent just over a week in Whiston Hospital before he was taken to Alder Hey where doctors discovered he had twisted his small bowel and needed to be rushed into surgery.

Speaking to the ECHO Jodie said: "He just would not drink his milk so I was keeping my eye on him. Then he started screaming and screaming like he was in pain.
"They rushed him into theater and I was told if he made it through the night it would be a miracle. They only left him with nine centimeters of his small bowel."
Kayden managed to pull through and he spent 17 months in hospital before being allowed home in December 2022. He spent ten weeks at his home in Kirkby before passing away on February 3, 2023.
Jodie a mum-of-four said: " We are not sure how he died yet and Alder Hey were amazing. I had taken him home and I was looking after him, which I would have happily done forever."
"My three-year-old is struggling the most at the moment and she keeps asking me why we can't bring Kayden out of the clouds. It is full-on but there is nothing we can do, we just have to remember him."
Jodie said Kayden was happy and always smiling despite being unwell for the majority of his life and he kept fighting "right until the end".
The 41-year-old said: "After the surgery, he came back like a new child and he was just amazing. Before he died he was just learning to roll. I'm just trying to get through the day and I have other kids so I have to be strong for them but I will always miss him."
