MUMBAI: After delivering consistently at every level for the past couple of years, especially for the Mumbai Under-19 team, allrounder Musheer Khan on Monday was finally rewarded with a maiden call-up for the Mumbai senior team when the Salil Ankola-led selection committee picked the squad for the Ranji Trophy knockouts in Bangalore, on Monday. Mumbai play Uttarakhand in the quarterfinals from June 6.
Musheer will join his elder brother Sarfaraz Khan in the 21-member Mumbai squad. So confident was Sarfaraz of his younger sibling's selection this season that he even kept a Mumbai cap for his younger sibling in his kitbag! The news of Musheer's Mumbai selection made Sarfaraz forget about disappointments of the weekend- on Saturday, his team the Delhi Capitals exited from IPL 2022.
