Museum of London to close in December ahead of big move and name change

Museum of London London United States Smithfield

The Museum of London will close its doors in December ahead of its move to a new multi-million pound home in Smithfield after bowing out with a look back at some of its landmark exhibitions.

The new building, which will be renamed The London Museum, is due to open in 2026 but Londoners will be able to get a first glimpse of it the year before when a festival is held in and around the site.
