An attempted murder probe has been launched after a man was found with life threatening injuries in Paisley. The 24-year-old was found in the town's Stock Street around 9pm on Saturday July 30.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow by ambulance for treatment.
Detectives believe the incident was a 'targeted attack' on the victim. They are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Jason Buxton said: “I want to reassure the public that this appears to have been a targeted attack however it is vital we find out exactly what happened so we can trace the person responsible.
“I would urge anyone who saw what happened, who has dashcam footage of the area at the time or who has any information about the attack to get in touch with police.”
