A man is in hospital following an attempted murder in Glasgow.
Emergency crews were called to Westerhouse Road at Drochil Way in Easterhouse at 9.50pm last night. Medics attended and found a 53-year-old man seriously injured.
He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown. Officers investigating the incident are treating it as attempted murder.
They say inquiries at this stage remain ongoing. Locals reported the road, close to Easterhouse shopping centre, was cordoned off overnight and into this morning.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live : “At 9.50pm on Tuesday, September 13, officers received a report of an attempted murder at Westerhouse Road at Drochil Way in Glasgow. A 53-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.”
