Mumbai's city-wide CCTV surveillance network is in for a massive expansion with the deployment of 15,000 new AI-powered cameras under a Rs 2,140-crore project, an official said on Tuesday.
The project, expected to roll out this month, will integrate advanced video analytics such as facial recognition, speed detection, and behavioural analysis into the city's security framework, he said.
