Mumbai-Delhi Air India Flight Arrives on Time, but Passengers Left Without Luggage

The flight departed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, at 1:26 pm, about 20 minutes behind schedule, but made up for lost time and landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, at 3:08 pm—five minutes ahead of schedule.

While travelers initially welcomed the early arrival, the excitement quickly faded at the baggage carousel, where approximately 40 checked bags were missing. Passengers were informed that their luggage had remained behind at Mumbai airport.

Airline officials reportedly attributed the mishap to “unforeseen technical issues,” but offered few specifics about the nature of the glitch. One passenger said, “We were informed upon arrival that our luggage remained at Mumbai airport. Airline officials cited technical issues but provided no further details.”

Air India has not issued an official comment on the incident. Passengers affected by the missing baggage are expected to be contacted by the airline for follow-up arrangements.

The incident adds to recent concerns over airline luggage handling, highlighting the inconvenience that even on-time flights can cause when baggage systems fail.
