Noida-based content creator Saahil Manish Rokade and his wife Janvi run an Instagram account called ‘kyuandkya,’ which has over 33,000 followers and mainly features mimicry videos. The couple is now booked in a criminal case after a Mumbai resident accused one of their videos of insulting Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
On September 2, 2026, Vikrant Sharad Achrekar filed a complaint at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park police station over an Instagram reel showing a young man dressed like Savarkar, appearing to lick a pair of black shoes. Achrekar alleged the video insulted a national icon and risked disturbing social harmony. Police registered an FIR under Section 67 of the IT Act and Sections 196(1)(b), 353(2) and 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
