MUMBAI: Close to 1,000 animal feeders, activists and citizens held a peaceful demonstration near Shivaji Park, Dadar, on Sunday evening to assert their right to feed stray dogs, cats, while also speaking up against harassment faced by feeders.
While the recent order of the Nagpur bench of the Bombay high court on the issue of feeding dogs was the primary reason for holding the demonstration, the activists urged the participants not to mention about the 'court order' or even the term 'Nagpur', after their discussion with the local police.
