A mum who had nine miscarriages before her miracle son arrived urged couples struggling to conceive to "never lose hope". Pamela Mackenzie gave birth to Patrick in 2018 after deciding to go to Prague for IVF treatment.
She and her husband Ian had been desperately trying for a baby for 18 years – including having two rounds of IVF on the NHS. Pamela, who was diagnosed with PCOS aged 12, said her pregnancies never made it past the first five weeks.
She started to look at private clinics abroad after hearing they had higher success rates. And after her first round of IVF she fell pregnant.
