Mum who became unable to squeeze soap from dish cloth given just months to live

A mum found she couldn't squeeze soap from a dish cloth before being told she had just 18 months to live.

Helen McMurray was diagnosed with incurable Motor Neurone Disease last summer after first noticing she had a "trigger finger" and was struggling to grip with her hand.

The 66-year-old, from Cowdenbeath in Fife, Scotland, first noticed the worrying symptom in November 2021 and after being referred to a neurologist by her GP was diagnosed on May 4, 2022.
