Kitchen transformations typically cost thousands of pounds - not to mention being disruptive and messy.
But one mum has revealed how she turned her dull kitchen into a stunning navy floral paradise. Stacey Addis, 28, a nursery worker and mum -of-three from Northampton, was inspired after seeing grass panels for sale at B&M.
She then worked with her partner to use DC Fix, rose gold accessories from Amazon and B&Q and new tiles from B&Q to transform her kitchen for £700. According to LatestDeals.co.uk , Stacey told money-saving Facebook group DIY On A Budget UK : "Myself and my partner Darryl, 38, came up with the idea after a local hairdresser had flowers and plants all over the salon, and we loved the look of it.

"I do hair extensions as a side business in the evenings but because our house isn't massive, we didn't have a room I could dedicate just to that, so I thought about doing it in the kitchen out of the way of the kids and everyone else in the house.
"I still wanted it to look pretty for my customers and when we saw the grass panels in B&M my partner suggested making a flower wall above the breakfast bar so it still has that salon feeling.”
Stacey said she started by adding the grass panels on the wall but felt it “looked really plain” so decided to add flowers from The Range. She added: "I've always hated the tiles in our kitchen, so my partner laid some new grey wall and floor tiles down.
“He also cut up a pack of mosaic tiles which he ran between the grey wall tiles to break it up a bit. He managed to do it all himself as he's quite handy with DIY but I felt it didn't match the cupboards once it was done.
“Unfortunately, we couldn't afford to pay for all new kitchen cabinets so we looked into the DC Fix adhesive wrap. We looked up reviews and other people's transformation pictures beforehand and decided to give it a go as others had achieved great results from using it. I think it was around £8 per roll which was obviously a hell of a lot cheaper than buying all new cupboards.”
Stacey shared show she covered her kitchen cabinets and said: "I would sit and wrap the cupboard each night once the kids were in bed and once I'd finished my partner would then use his heat gun to heat up the plastic wrap to shrink it so it's tighter on the cupboards and get out the air bubbles.
"For anyone else looking to do it I would definitely suggest using a heat gun at the end as it looked so much better afterwards and you get a better finished look. The rose gold tap was from Amazon for £30, the rose gold handles were from B&Q for £8 per pack, and the worktop, sink, wall tiles, floor tiles, ceiling light and under cabinet lights were all from B&Q. In total, we spent around £700 but that was for everything, including new worktop, new sink, new gas hob, new tap, breakfast bar, stools, floor and wall tiles, lights, mirror, flowers and more.
“With regards to how much we have saved, I would say nearly £2,000 as my partner did the tiling, fitting the sink and hob and more himself. We love the finished look and all of my clients that come round for their hair all comment on how amazing it looks."
