She said: " When he came out, I didn’t get the overwhelming feeling of love. I obviously love him to pieces but I instantly said ‘Good lord, I hope his face changes’ when I looked at him.

"He looked so grumpy, it was like he was confused about being born. It was hysterical."

Doctors say it is common for a newborn babies face to appear puffy and swollen when born due to fluid accumulation.

Thankfully, Elliot's "angry at the world" face changed within the day.

Jamie-Lee said: "I don’t think there is any harm in stating the obvious about a newborn. His dad Ashleigh, laughed and I could tell it was because he agreed.

"Thankfully, his face went down after a few hours and he looked adorable.

"I’m not a serious person hence why I openly said he isn’t cute at birth.

“But some people may take offence so I wouldn’t advise others to say what they think out loud if they are with a serious mum.”

Jamie-Lee a housewife said: “Despite looking very grumpy at birth, he grew up to be a happy little boy.

“However, he is very strong willed and sometimes scrunches up his face when he doesn’t get his own way.

“But it makes me laugh as it reminds me of his face when he was a newborn.”
