The mother of Rhys Jones' killer has been jailed for nine months after she helped another of her sons evade justice.
Janette Mercer - the 63-year-old mum of murderer Sean Mercer - was found guilty of assisting her son Joseph Mercer, who she helped while he was being investigated over drug supply offences.
The then 25-year-old was imprisoned for 30 months in October 2020 after being caught selling heroin and crack cocaine from a hotel room in Bournemouth.
