Mum lost two fingers and partner had leg amputated after horror machete attack at home

A couple suffered horrific injuries after being attacked by gangsters with machetes in their own home over what's believed to be an unpaid six-figure debt. The male victim was so badly injured he had to have his right leg amputated while his partner lost two fingers on her left hand when she was hurt as she tried to call police, the Daily Record reports.

It's thought criminals from Liverpool travelled to the town of Coatbridge in Scotland to carry out the attack. The female victim, a 28-year-old mum-of-two, has now told how her life will never be the same following the terrifying ordeal.

She said: “It’s a horrendous thing that happened to me and it’s difficult to talk about. I’m just trying to move forward with my life and recover from all of this. It has been a traumatic experience. I’m trying to focus on me and the kids at the moment. My partner and I have now gone our separate ways. I’m not in touch with him any more.
