A mum and her autistic and non-verbal son claimed they were yelled at in a community cafe in a row over a vegetarian breakfast.
Kate Fuller decided to visit Rest Bite cafe in Melling on Monday, July 25, and questioned why the vegetarian breakfast had been scribbled out on the menu, to which she claims she was met with the response "it's not worth it" by the man behind the till. The vegetarian said she had already decided to opt for a jacket potato herself but continued to probe into why the option wasn't available for others.
The local parish councillor claims that the man serving her decided to "bang the glass countertop three times" as he began to raise his voice as he told her and her son, Conrad, 14, to leave. The 37-year-old left and went to a cafe in Maghull where she said she had a pleasant time with her son, who she was worried about during the altercation.
