Mum had 'out of body experience' as doctor delivered diagnosis

A mum thought she had seen the last of her cancer when she recieved a new devastating diagnosis.

Kate Walker, a mum-of-three, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2021 as she was studying her Masters degree at Hope University. Kate, 44, was told the cancer was "small, early stage and curable" and soon the Ellesmere Port mum thought she was in the clear, restarting her studies and even beginning a new job.

Yet, in November Kate had an "out of body experience" when she was told her cancer had returned, and had spread to her lungs and her liver and is now incurable. She said: "You go into a room and they tell you and it was almost like an out of body experience. You think, ‘how can this be?
