A "larger than life" mum took her own life on Christmas Day, said her family as they rally to support her nine-year-old son.
Jordan Carter, 28, was tragically found at her home in Plymouth, Devon at around 8.30pm.
Police were called to the property on December 25 - the day before her birthday - and are not treating the death as suspicious.
Jordan's mum, Cheryl Carter, has now paid tribute to her beloved daughter, and urged anyone who is struggling to reach out.
She is raising money for her grandson, Kai, to put in a trust fund for when he turns 18.
Cheryl told Plymouth Live: "Jordan was a larger-than-life character, her two loves were horses and she started riding at the age of four. And of course, her son Kai.
"Myself and my family are totally overwhelmed by the generosity of people, especially with times being so difficult for most financially, with rising living costs and of course Christmas.
"However people still did donate, which has restored my faith in human nature.
"No words could ever express my appreciation for all the donations & heartfelt messages at such a tragic time. I will be forever grateful."
The GoFundMe page has so far raised over £2,300 of a £100 target, at the time of writing, with Cheryl saying she and her family have been "overwhelmed by the generosity of people".
She wrote on the fundraiser: "Hi my name is Cheryl, I'm fundraising for my grandson Kai, whose mum tragically took her own life on Christmas Day.
"All donations will be put in a trust fund for him. If anyone can help no matter how little it would be very much appreciated. Many many thanks."
Cheryl said her daughter had "suffered with mental health issues for many years."
She added: "People do care, and if people tried reaching out, there are people willing to help."
