Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna has confirmed the devastating loss of five lives in the wake of the Pacific Palisades and Eaton Fires. Luna emphasized that the death toll is subject to change as the situation continues to unfold.
Initially, Luna had indicated that all five fatalities were linked to the Eaton Fire. However, Malibu Mayor Doug Stewart has since reported an additional death, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths to six.
