A multi-vehicle car crash has sparked tailbacks along the M8 this morning.
Emergency services have raced to the scene between Junction 29 and Junction 29A where one lane is currently blocked.
Motorists have been warned to expect delays following the incident, which involved three cars, Glasgow Live reports.
Police and Scotland TranServ's Trunk Roads Incident Support Unit ( TRISS ) are currently making their way to the scene.
A tweet from Traffic Scotland read: "M8- J29 A three vehicle collision on the M8 between J29- J29A is currently blocking lane one (Of two). Police and TRISS are en-route. Traffic already slow on approach."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 6.40am on Thursday, 7 April, to a report of a one car crash on the M8 near junction 29A westbound. Vehicle recovery is being arranged.”
