A large section of the M8 close to the Erskine Bridge has been closed following a multi-vehicle crash.
Emergency services raced to the scene near junction 29A to Bishopton after receiving reports of a collision, involving several motors at 3.30pm.
Police, ambulance and fire crews are currently in attendance, but no serious injuries have been reported at this time.
According to Traffic Scotland, all lanes westbound remain closed and motorists are currently facing delays of up to one hour and 10 minutes above normal rush hour times.
A diversion has been set up via J29A, however traffic remains heavy in the area, with tailbacks as far as Glasgow Airport.
A cops spokesperson said: "Around 3.30 pm on Friday, April 14, police received a report of a crash involving several vehicles on the M8 westbound near Junction 29A just after the Bishopton slip road.
"There are no reports of any serious injuries at this time and police are at the scene."
