A grieving family has paid tribute to a "much-loved" dad who was killed in a one-car horror smash over the weekend.
Kellam Hodgson died after the BWM 5-series he was in crashed near Guisborough, North Yorkshire, on Friday night.
Emergency services were called to reports of the crash at around 8pm, with the 37-year-old tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man, 35, was also involved in the crash and is fighting for his life at James Cook Hospital in Middlesborough.
The road remained cordoned off overnight as an air ambulance scrambled to the scene while traffic officers began carrying out an investigation into the crash.
Cleveland Police is now investigating what happened and is appealing for anyone who could have dashcam footage which may help.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Sadly, 37-year-old Kellam Hodgson was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Kellam’s grieving family have today paid tribute to him and has asked for privacy during this extremely difficult time."
The spokesperson added: "Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have dash cam footage of the incident to get in touch with the police."
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said on Friday: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on The Triangle in Guisborough shortly after 8pm this evening.
"We dispatched two ambulance crews, a clinical team leader, a duty officer and the Medicar, and requested support from Great North Air Ambulance Service.
"One patient has been taken to James Cook Hospital for further treatment."
