Sophie Hinchliffe, also known as Mrs Hinch, has announced the sudden passing of her father, Alan.
The influencer described his death on April 25 as “peaceful” but acknowledged the “deep unimaginable pain” it has caused.
Taking to Instagram, she shared: “25th April 2024. My precious Dad passed suddenly but so peacefully whilst he slept.
“My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down. A deep unimaginable pain I cannot put into words.”
The social media star’s father spent considerable time in a workshop she had built for him in her garden, crafting special items for her home. She promised to keep the workshop going in his memory.
She continued in her caption: “My loving Dad, Our boys beloved Grandad, Your workshop is locked up and I sleep with the key. I promise to keep your workshop dream going.
“Until we meet and sing together again. Goodnight Dad. My absolute king. Your Bubberloo.”
The 34-year-old then concluded the heartbreaking announcement with a quote about grief.
It read: “Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot.
“All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.”
Alongside the touching words, the influencer also posted pictures from her childhood, as well as a poignant moment captured with her dad on her wedding day in August 2018.
After sharing her post, she received messages of support from fans and famous faces, who shared their condolences.
“I’m so sorry Sophie. May he rest in paradise,” wrote Molly-Mae Hague.
Denise Van Outen commented: “So sorry for your loss. Thinking of you all and sending love.”
While Lisa Faulkner added: “I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending my love to you all.”
In April of last year, Mrs Hinch stepped away from social media while her father was in hospital.
She told The Sun at the time: “My dad is in hospital at the moment guys. My dad has never been blessed shall we say with fantastic health – from his chest, his lungs, his heart.
“He’s always struggled you know. I just want him to be happy.”
