MPs criticise rushed process for debating new Troubles legacy law

MPs have raised concerns there will not be enough time to debate draft legislation on the legacy of the Northern Ireland Troubles, as the Government insisted the Bill was the “last chance to get it right”.

Shadow Northern Ireland secretary Alex Burghart said there would be insufficient time for “detailed” scrutiny of the Northern Ireland Troubles Bill and Democratic Unionist Party leader Gavin Robinson criticised how long had been scheduled.
