Forgotten Moussa Dembele could reportedly leave Lyon for as as little as £5m in January as the Ligue 1 side look to cash in on the former Celtic striker.
The striker netted 22 goals for the club last season and was linked with a summer exit from France after being the standout performer in a campaign that saw the club finish in a disappointing eighth place, but he opted to remain at the Groupama Stadium and enter the final year of his contract. The summer addition of Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal has limited Dembele's game time and he has netted just twice this term.
Galatasaray will reportedly look to tempt Lyon into a January sale to avoid the risk of the 26-year-old leaving France for nothing, with several reports in Turkey suggesting an initial bid has already been put on the table. En Son Haber claim that a lowball offer of €5m (£4.3m) has been submitted.
That could have a major impact on Celtic, who agreed a 15 per cent sell on clause when Dembele left Parkhead in 2018 for £19.7m. If Lyon accept that offer, the Scottish Premiership champions will recoup just £645k from the sale of the striker.
The report claims that Dembele is keen on the move to increase his minutes on the pitch. The Super Lig title challengers now await the response from the Ligue 1 side, but it is claimed they expect the initial approach for the frontman to be knocked back.
