Scottish Water is today warning all motorists that a full road closure in Girvan is on the horizon.
Dalrymple Street will be shut from 8am on Sunday, October 23 to allow contractors to replace damaged ironwork covers.
The following diversion — which has been agreed with AMEY and South Ayrshire Council — will be in place:
Southbound
• A77 Stumpy Corner
• Turn right onto Knockcushan Street
• Turn left onto A77 Henrietta Street
• Continue into Kirkpatrick Street
• Continue onto Benanne Road
• End at Shalloch Park Roundabout
A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “We would like to apologise for any disruption these essential works may cause.
“A one-day road close is the only safe option to allow us to carry them out.
“We would advise drivers to plan ahead and would like to thank them for their patience and understanding.”
