Most Americans Oppose a Third Trump Term As Allies Keep Touting a Potential Run

President Trump has hinted numerous times he is considering running for a third term, taking over Canada and Greenland, but American don't take him seriously.

President Donald Trump has hinted numerous times that he is not ruling out running for a third term, despite the Constitution explicitly forbidding it. Although he has claimed that his base would be thrilled at a 2028 ticket, a new poll shows that the majority of Americans would oppose it.

Those results come from the latest ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll, conducted April 18-22 in English and Spanish among 2,464 adults. Results have a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.
