Mortgage Rates Just Hit a 15-Month High — What Does 6.76% Actually Cost on a $400,000 House?

Suburban Homes
A 6.76% mortgage rate means roughly $2,078 a month in principal and interest on a $320,000 loan for a $400,000 home with 20% down. Taxes, insurance, maintenance and other costs can push the true monthly housing bill considerably higher. (Pexels).
