Mortal Kombat 2 star Lewis Tan isn't backing down from the beef that Street Fighter actor Andrew Schulz started... and now Cody Rhodes is getting in on the action.
"My friend Andrew Schulz can be a bit loud and hot-headed... and impulsive... and perhaps a hair dumb," Rhodes, who plays Guile, explained on The Brandon Davis Show, in response to whether or not there was truly beef between the two casts. You might recall that Schulz told the audience at The Game Awards that the Mortal Kombat cast was in it for the money... but that the Street Fighter cast was there for the money and the fans.
"Because Andrew is my tag team partner in this film... We will dog-walk anyone from Mortal Kombat. Anybody. And I loved Mortal Kombat... but which movie is better in terms of fighting... Street Fighter dog-walks Mortal Kombat." You can check it out below around the 42-minute mark.
Tan took to Twitter to respond to Rhodes, writing that he "literally almost spilled his drink laughing. On his episode of The Brandon Davis Show, Tan explained, in response to Schulz's comments, that he loves a good rivalry... and that Schulz, who is primarily a comedian and podcaster but was still somehow cast as Dan Hibiki in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, is "obviously not really a fighter, not even an actor."

Is it all a little silly? Yes. Is it pretty much what's expected from a WWE wrestler in the way they're known to create fake beef in order to garner hype for an upcoming match? Yes. Do we hope this results in a live-action Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter movie? Also yes.
