Mortal Kombat 2 digital release date announced, and we have an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at a new featurette

Mortal Kombat Ed Boon Jeremy Slater
Johnny Cage (Karl Urban), Kitana (Adeline Rudolph), Shao Khan (Martyn Ford), Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada) and Noob Saibot (Joe Taslim) in Mortal Kombat 2.

After a month in theaters, the Mortal Kombat 2 digital release date has been announced, and there's not long to wait till the beat-em-up sequel can be viewed from the comfort of your home stage. Beats the acid-filled Dead Pool, anyway.

Mortal Kombat 2 debuted to pretty impressive reviews for a video game sequel last month, hitting a solid 64% on Rotten Tomatoes. Our own 3* Mortal Kombat 2 review declared it a "bloody fun second round." Didn't catch it in theaters? Or simply keen for a rematch? Then you can pick it up digitally in North America from June 9, that's just one week from today. Fight!
