Last week, supermarket giant Morrisons was named the most expensive in a price comparison test. A basket of Morrisons essentials came out bottom with a price tag of £11.57 (up from £11.47), while rivals like ASDA (which had a total of £11.40, and Lidl (which had a total of £11.23), were found to be cheaper alternatives.
But while Morrisons was ranked bottom in the cheapest supermarket list for essentials, shoppers have been blown away by an 'incredible value' deal on meat in stores at the moment. Shoppers have heaped praise on Morrisons' meat packs, which cost £10 each, but contain 'enough meat to make 12+ main meals.'
Twelve main meals could feed someone for almost two weeks, so for £10, that's not to be sniffed at. Each £10 pack contains a pork roasting joint, 4 pork chops, 8 sausages and a quantity of minced beef.

With those ingredients, it's easy to whip up dishes like sausage casserole, a roast dinner, bolognese and toad in the hole.
On the Scrimping on a budget Facebook page, Linda Blomquist shared a picture of the bundle, writing: "May be of interest to others. My local Morrisons are doing 'Winter Warmer' meat packs for £9.49. You get a pork roasting joint, 4 pork chops, 8 sausages and a good quantity of minced beef. I've portioned it up and frozen the lot. Only one meat eater in my home and I reckon this will make 12+ main meals for him."
On the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK page, Sarah Victoria also shared a picture of the bargain, simply writing: "£10 morrisons meat pack."
Shoppers were blown away by the fantastic value of the meat pack, and made their opinions known. Karen Irene Pollock said: "By buying 2 I'd have 4 family meals there .. I buy them quite often. I think they are worth it."
Jane Newbery raved: "I've bought these in the past from Morrisons good value and always been lovely." Debora Docherty said: "That's a brilliant bargain and proper beef sausages and steak mince."
Joanne Peers said: "That's fab love that meat pack." Jade Elizabeth Oakes wrote: "This is good. Just bang it all in freezer your sorted for a few meals there."
Clare Sperling said: "That's really good." Kirsty Stroud added: "I got this the other day and it is great value the sausages are proper butchers sausages not cheap ones."
You can buy the mixed butcher's meat packs for £10 in all Morrisons supermarkets now. Stocks may vary.
