There is set to be huge price changes at Morrisons stores across the nation. The supermarket giant has confirmed it will cut the costs of 130 items including food and cleaning products.
It comes as the cost of living crisis continues to grip people hard, with other stores also introducing savings on certain items. According to Birmingham Live, the cut prices will apply to Morrisons' own-brand ranges including Savers, Wonky and Essentials.
The changes will cost the supermarket £16 million as around half of the range will be slashed in price (130 of 263 products). Reductions will be applied to items including:

- Bacon
- Cooked chicken
- Cheese
- Fruit
- Vegetables
- Frozen ready meals
- Pizza
- Fish fingers
- Tins - including beans, tuna and chopped tomatoes
- Orange Juice
- Sauces and spreads - including marmalade and ketchup
Reduced pricing will also be applied to some cleaning products and essentials too, including toothbrushes, laundry powder and washing up liquid. All of Morrisons 498 supermarkets will slash prices, and the majority of products can be found online.
Morrisons chief executive David Potts said: "We want to do all we can to help when it comes to the cost of grocery shopping and by investing in the range and cutting the prices further, our customers will see a noticeable impact on their budgets at a time when they really need it.
